🎄 Festive Christmas Chocolates Recipe 🎅

Perfect for gifting, snacking, or adding some homemade sparkle to your holiday table!
🧁 Equipment:
Silicone Christmas-themed moulds (trees, stars, Santas, snowmen, etc.)
Heatproof glass or metal bowl
Saucepan
Spoons or small jug for pouring
Fridge space for chilling
Optional: cellophane bags & ribbon for wrapping
🍫 Ingredients:
Base chocolate mix (use any or all):
200g Milk chocolate
200g White chocolate
200g Ruby or dark chocolate (for contrast & colour)
Festive toppings:
Crushed candy canes
Mini marshmallows
Christmas-themed sprinkles
Crushed pistachios or nuts (optional)
Dried fruit (like cranberries or raisins)
👩🍳 Method:
Set up a bain-marie.
Fill a saucepan with a couple of inches of water and bring to a gentle simmer. Place your chocolate in a heatproof bowl and set it over the saucepan (the bowl shouldn’t touch the water). Stir slowly until melted and smooth.Prep your moulds.
While your chocolate melts, line up your clean, dry silicone moulds on a tray (this makes them easier to transfer to the fridge later).Layer or stir in toppings.
Stir festive extras into the chocolate (you can use crushed nuts or dried fruit, sprinkles or marshmallows). You can also leave the chocolate plain and decorate once poured.Pour and fill.
Spoon or gently pour your melted chocolate into each mould shape. Tap the tray lightly to remove air bubbles and smooth the tops.Decorate.
Add toppings like sprinkles, candy cane pieces, or dried fruit while the chocolate is still warm.Chill.
Carefully place your tray of moulds in the fridge and chill for a minimum of 1 hour, or until fully set.Unmould & enjoy!
Once the chocolate is hardened, pop the chocolates out of the moulds and store in an airtight container, or you can wrap them up in pretty bags for festive gifts.
❄️ Top Tips:
Try layering two colours (e.g. white + milk chocolate) for a swirled effect.
For glossy chocolates, make sure no water touches the chocolate as it melts.
- These make perfect stocking fillers, classroom gifts or party favours!
