💄 Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation – Is It Really Worth It?

💄 Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation – Is It Really Worth It?
Let’s talk about a product that’s had a lot of hype but, in my opinion, seriously misses the mark -the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation. I know it’s been marketed as a full-coverage, long-wearing, high-end solution for flawless skin. Albeit, I do not rate this product. Not even close to what you’d expect from a luxury-priced foundation.
First off, the texture is incredibly thick. The foundation is far from a velvety, skin-like way, rather we’re talking about the liquid being paint-thick. It sits heavily on the skin, making it difficult to blend, and almost impossible to layer without it going cakey. If you’ve got any texture, dryness, or pores (aka, if you’re a human), it clings in the worst way. Instead of smoothing over your skin, it exaggerates imperfections, which completely defeats the point of a full-coverage base.
Another major issue that I found with the foundation? The shade range is bizarre. Despite having quite a few shades, most of them lean way too warm. I’m talking bright orange undertones, even in shades that are supposed to be neutral or cool. Trying to find a good match was beyond a nightmare, and even the lighter tones have that tell-tale fake tan glow, not in a good way either. For something positioned as a high-end foundation, the colour matching is a huge let-down.
The name of the foundation “All Nighter”? Honestly, ironic. Because this foundation does not last. It melts off the face after just a few hours wear, even with a decent primer and setting spray. It separates around the nose and mouth, slides off the T-zone, and leaves you looking patchy by the end of the day (or night). For something that claims to be long-wearing, it performs more like a cheap high street base. Actually, I have used better cheap high street brands and rate them much higher than this Urban Decay foundation.
Overall, this is one of those products that looks great on the shelf, has beautiful packaging to it. However, the slick Urban Decay packaging, and promising names attached to it, the product itself falls completely flat in real life. If you’re after a flawless, comfortable, long-lasting foundation, I’d say skip this one. There are far better options out there for the same price, or even less. Save your money, save your skin.
In conclusion, the Urban Decay – All Night Foundation is not a product for me and I won’t be buying this product again. I rate this 0.5 out of five stars.
