Poundland Bee Venom Cream, Botox on a Budget or Just Buzz? 🐝✨

So, there I was standing in Poundland, dodging sticky fingers and buying three things I didn’t come in for, when another woman whispered to me down an aisle I had just stepped in, “Do you know about these?”
I didn’t. I had no idea about these new face creams that Poundland had just introduced. As the woman took each one of the shelf and showed them to me, carefully explaining about each one.
Bee Venom Age Defying Moisturiser, took my instant fancy. In all of its gold-packaging, budget-friendly glory. It had something ancient to it. Something that was whispering to me, “Buy it, try it!”
Also, the woman who was standing right next to me, introducing me to the products also helped.
£2 for what basically promised to be the budget mum’s miracle in a pot? You just know I had to try it!
Because let’s be real, if there’s a chance I can look vaguely alive and not spend £42 on something called “serum,” I’m taking it.
🐝 First Impressions:
The cream comes in a glossy little box that screams luxury-on-a-budget mixed with ancient times. The kind of packaging that wants you to feel like Kate Middleton but also an Egyptian princess.
The cream itself is a little thick, white, and smells… surprisingly beautiful?
Kind of floral-meets-baby-wipe. Not unpleasant, just… unexpected to say it’s bee venom.
It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave my skin feeling even slightly greasy, which, as someone who lives in fear of mum-shine forehead, was a win.
💬 So… does it sting?
Honestly? No.
Despite the whole “Bee venom” vibe, there’s no stinging, swelling, or sudden transformation into Angelina Jolie.
It’s actually amazingly soothing.
I slapped it on my tired face at 11pm and when I woke up? My skin felt refreshed, loved and simply stunning.
💁♀️ The Results (aka: Can you tell I’ve had three kids and no sleep?)
After a week of use:
-
My skin definitely began to feel smoother.
-
My forehead was less dull
-
I still looked like me, just slightly more “awake” and with brighter skin. It’s no miracle cream, but it did make my foundation glide on better in the mornings. It also gave me a tiny boost of “oh, okay then” when I caught my reflection with make-up free skin.
💷 Final Verdict:
Is it luxury skincare? No, but it feels quite close.
Does it feel nice, work as a basic moisturiser, and make you feel like you’re part of the skincare club without spending a fortune?
Absolutely!
For £2, it’s a solid little glow-up in a pot.
Chuck it in your basket next time you’re in there panic-buying hair clips and fruit winders. You might just thank yourself.
Rating: 9/10 buzzing beauty points
Cheap. Cheerful. Surprisingly amazing. And I didn’t break out once.
