There’s something sacred about having a little corner just for you. A quiet moment before the madness of the day, school runs, laundry mountains, and snack negotiations begins. For me, that place is my dressing table.

No, it’s not always tidy (what even is that?) It is however, where I keep a few key bits that make me feel put together, even on the most chaotic of mornings. These aren’t just products. They’re my little confidence boosts in a compact. My “just five minutes and a strong coffee” face. Let’s be honest, sometimes that’s all we get!

🌸 “There She Glows” Eye Palette

Pretty packaging aside (those pink palm trees!), this palette is my go-to for soft mattes and gentle shimmer shades. Perfect for everyday wear,  from school gates to spontaneous coffee runs and football training.

An old-school classic for a reason. Light, breathable, and gives your skin that healthy glow without feeling cakey. I save this for when I need to look like I’ve had 8 hours of sleep… when I absolutely haven’t because I have stayed up well past midnight again – despite knowing I have to be up and ready early!

Bobbi Brown products are in a top league of their own! One of my favourite cosmetic brands ever! Nothing perks up a tired mum face quite like a sweep of this. I use it to fake cheekbones, warm up dull skin, and pretend I didn’t skip blush again. A total ride-or-die product.

🖌 Real Techniques Brushes

These have been in my collection for years. Ever since my sister recommended them to me. They are soft, reliable, and they make blending products such a doddle. If I’m in a rush (which, I frequently am), these brushes always have my back.

✨ Benefit ‘They’re Real’ Mascara

This stuff is the lash lift in a tube I never knew I needed. Recommended by other sister, and I can see why it’s one of her favourite cosmetic buys. It grabs every little lash and somehow makes me look instantly awake. It’s basically magic.

Let’s talk mum brows. Sparse, forgotten, or a victim of the 2002-2006 over-plucking trend? Same. This Tattoo Brow gives me definition without the daily effort. It stays put and actually survives tantrums, toast crusts, and gusts of British rain and wind.
